PARSWOOD melt-blown polypropylene filter cartridges provide depth filtration for suspended particles, sediment and rust in compatible liquids. Thermally bonded polypropylene fibres form a graded-density structure that captures particles through the cartridge depth, without added binders or adhesives.
Choose your sediment filter
Select the micron rating, exact cartridge length and end connection below. Each configuration has its own PARSWOOD part number.
Nominal grades: 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 75 and 100 µm.
DOE lengths: 9.75, 10, 20, 30 and 40 inches.
Special connections: 40-inch cap with spring in 10 µm; 40-inch Code 8 (222 / Fin) in 10 and 25 µm.
9.75-inch and 10-inch cartridges are different lengths. Match the installed cartridge length, outside diameter, bore and end connection to your housing before ordering. Micron rating and length alone do not establish fit.
Selecting a micron rating
A lower micron number targets finer particles. Finer filtration may require more frequent cartridge changes when solids loading is high. Select the grade for your incoming liquid, flow requirements and the equipment being protected.
These are nominal depth-filtration grades, not absolute membrane ratings or sterilizing-grade claims. Retention depends on the test conditions and process liquid; do not treat the micron number as complete removal of every particle at that size.
Typical applications
Sediment prefiltration for water-treatment and reverse-osmosis systems.
Particulate filtration of compatible process water, coolants and plating solutions.
Prefiltration in food, beverage and other industrial processes, subject to application and material qualification.
This polypropylene sediment medium is intended for particulate filtration. Do not select it for dissolved chlorine removal without a separate treatment stage designed for that purpose.
Construction and operating limits
Filter media: Polypropylene.
Construction: Thermally bonded fibres without added binders or adhesives.
Maximum operating temperature: 65°C.
Maximum differential pressure: 2.0 bar at 20°C.
Confirm the applicable limits for the selected configuration, liquid and housing. The differential-pressure limit is measured across the cartridge; it is not the housing's maximum working-pressure rating. Do not assume the maximum temperature and differential pressure can be applied simultaneously.

For replacement matching, compare the original part number, dimensions, end connection, seal requirements and filtration performance. Brand name or micron rating alone does not establish interchangeability.
